J5 Films Announces NO HOME TEAM, a Documentary Series Inside the World of High School Football Officials
MIDDLE TENNESSEE (September 2026) — J5 Films is excited to officially announce NO HOME TEAM, a new documentary series going inside one of the most overlooked parts of high school football: the officials who make the game possible.
Every Friday (occasionally Thursday) night, while players, coaches and fans focus on the action and scoreboard, a crew of officials steps onto the field with no home crowd, no sideline and no rooting interest. Their job is to objectively manage the game, make split-second decisions, communicate under pressure and get every call right — fully-aware every decision will be judged.
Inside the Crew
No Home Team follows high school football officials throughout the season including the State Championship Game. The series takes viewers behind the scenes from pregame meetings and locker rooms to the field, the conversations between plays, and the moments most fans never get to see.
This is about more than football. It's about leadership, accountability, teamwork, community, and the men and women who continue to serve the game at a time when officiating programs across the country need the next generation to step forward and commit the training required to become elite.
